Earlier today, Cinematical sat down with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning to talk about their new movie The Runaways, in which the actresses play Cherie Currie and Joan Jett, two of the founding members of the eponymous all-girl rock band. (Look for a full-length, exclusive interview with the duo in the weeks to come.) Following our discussion of the ins and outs of playing real-life rock stars, talk turned to the new 90-second trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which debuted online this morning.

When I asked if either of them got to see the trailer, Stewart and Fanning turned to one another for reactions. “Did you watch it?” Stewart asked Fanning.

“No, I didn’t,” Fanning replied. “I watched it,” Stewart said with enthusiasm. When I prodded her for specific feelings, she said, “Well, it’s really fast, isn’t it? It’s sort of like a couple of pictures strung together. But it looks good – it looks good! I think Taylor [Lautner] looks really great. Like, he looks very strong and I love his voice in it,” she said. “He’s good in it.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s “Eclipse” trailer has arrived, and with it only more anticipation about the film, which doesn’t arrive in theaters until the end of June. With another three months to go until then, we know you’ll be poring over the footage again and again. Here are answers to five questions you might have after that first viewing.

What’s Up With Kristen’s Hair? The first thing you might be wondering is why Kristen Stewart’s hair looks a bit strange. The reason is that after finishing work on “New Moon” in May, Stewart chopped off her locks for her role as ’70s rocker Joan Jett in “The Runaways.” Shooting on that biopic wrapped last August, just weeks before the start of “Eclipse.” To maintain continuity with Bella Swan’s appearance in “New Moon,” Stewart was forced to don the wig you see her wearing in the “Eclipse” trailer. Some might say the do looks oddly similar to the wig Taylor Lautner had to wear in “Twilight.”

What Happened To Victoria? Just over a minute into the trailer, we get a glimpse of the film’s central villain: Victoria. But that’s not the Victoria we know from “Twilight” and “New Moon.” That’s because last July, only weeks before “Eclipse” was due to begin filming, Bryce Dallas Howard replaced Rachelle Lefevre in the role she’d played for two movies. “I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’ ” the actress said in a statement. • Read full story…

At a recent press conference for Kristen Stewart‘s latest indie flick, The Yellow Handkerchief, also starring Maria Bello and William Hurt, we squeezed a little extra juice out of the actress regarding her upcoming projects. Stewart recently exploded into prominence after her multi-million dollar success with Stephanie Meyers’ Twilight intoxicated teenage girls all over the universe. Despite the constant tsunami of vampire frenzy, Stewart was surprisingly, well, normal and willing to talk about Twilight and more.

So there’s a lot of hype over whether or not Eclipse will be shot as two films or one. Any predictions?

Kristen Stewart: I don’t know, actually. The story so completely warrants two films, it would be disappointing to have to lose this sequence and this scene. I would like to do two movies – but to be perfectly honest, I don’t know what they’re going to do.

The Runaways had a very successful premiere at Sundance last month.

KS: We all knew if it did well it’d be a Sundance movie. But now it’s being released – it’s becoming a bigger deal than we thought which is always exciting. Sundance was awesome, I love Sundance. Though Twilighters are already salivating for the chance to see the first “Eclipse” trailer in theaters next month, star Kristen Stewart, had yet to hear Thursday’s news that the trailer would make its big debut before Robert Pattinson’s “Remember Me” on March 12.

“Really? Oh my god! I have no idea!” Stewart told MTV News at the premiere of her latest release, “The Yellow Handkerchief.” “I didn’t even know it was coming out, so … that’s news to me too!”

Stewart did have an idea of what she’s eager to see in the trailer for the third “Twilight” installment. “Oh, my gosh! There’s a really cool thing that happens on a cliff with Jacob that should definitely be in there,” she explained. “Battle stuff. I would say the [newborn vampires]. The Twilight Movie- Eclipse is set to be released on June 30, 2010. Normally there would be numerous trailers- official and unofficial all over the internet. However, Summit Pictures who produces the Twilight Saga movies has different plans for this movies trailers. The first trailers are to be released on ONLY the Wal Mart The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition to be sold on Saturday, March 20th.

The trailer will be 7 minutes comprised of interviews with creator Stephenie Meyer as well as the movies three main stars- Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart.
